Knoxville Wedding Photographer – 2 Hodges Photography
We are so excited to share our first wedding of 2015! It is an intimate Smoky Mountain cabin wedding in Pigeon Forge, TN, among the bride and groom’s close family and friends, and they happen to be dear friends of ours as well. We are so blessed to have been their Knoxville wedding photographers. Amanda and Dustin got engaged in November 2014 and didn’t want to wait to be married, so they got married right after the New Year. We love that!
Amanda and Dustin were married at the Wild Turkey Lodge in Pigeon Forge, TN, on a chilly winter day in January, but the sun was shining, and the excitement of the day kept us all warm. Amanda is blessed with close relationships with both her dad and her stepdad, so she had First Look moments with both of these important men in her life. Those moments were definitely special! We also love that she had both men walk her down the aisle to her now husband.
There were many DIY touches for the wedding including the bouquets and boutonnieres as well as signs used for the bride’s and groom’s getting ready rooms. Everyone also got to indulge in the mother of the bride’s homemade banana pudding and an ice cream sundae bar after some self-catered barbecue from Buddy’s BBQ.
We will always remember so many great moments from the wedding day. We loved capturing all of Amanda’s expressions during First Looks and a “blind” pre-ceremony prayer with Dustin, and we especially loved her gorgeous smile and glow throughout the wedding ceremony and couple’s portraits. Sunset at Wild Turkey Lodge with the mountains in the background created the perfect backdrop for couple’s photos, and the newlyweds are stunning! Then, we went inside so Amanda and Dustin could lace up in their new running shoes – their wedding gifts to each other – and so we could create some fun images around the pool table.
We love that this wedding captures how special an intimate wedding can be.
To Amanda and Dustin: We could not be happier to have shared in the joy of your wedding day. We absolutely love how you two fit together and your excitement for marriage. It is so obvious not only how much you love each other but also how well you are loved by your family and friends. And, of course, we love you, too! Thank you for asking us to capture such an important day in your lives!
