Knoxville Wedding Photographers – 2 Hodges Photography
Laura and Trip had the most beautiful Friday wedding at The Standard in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, with their ceremony at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. Laura and Trip got ready at The Standard to make full use of it’s beautiful interiors and urban charm, but they both dreamed of marrying in a church. They had a longer ceremony because Laura wanted their minister, who has known them throughout their entire relationship, to preach about a marriage founded in God in the hopes of inspiring her guests. Listening to the minister’s words hardly seemed like preaching. We were a bit inspired ourselves (and a little misty-eyed) when the pastor explained marriage as the opportunity to love your spouse. He said that marriage isn’t about what you get out of it, it’s about what you put into it. He said that if you’re getting married for what you’ll get out of marriage, you’re getting married for the wrong reason. We have no doubt Laura and Trip have married for the right reason – we loved seeing how they love and respect who each other is.
Laura is the most beautiful, classic bride. Every photo of her is gorgeous! We loved her flowing dress with it’s fitted lace and beaded top. Her bouquet from Lisa Foster Floral Design was the perfect compliment to her classic bridal look.
What we love most about Laura and Trip is how much fun they are to be around. Trip especially does not take life too seriously, and if there is one thing we agree on it’s that lots of laughter in marriage is a must! It is impossible to miss how much Laura and Trip’s family and friends love them, and we can see why!
We loved pretty much everything about Laura and Trip’s wedding day. The details had an understated beauty that truly made each detail shine. We were so happy to finally get to work with Peggy Love and her team from Plan It with Love, who made sure every detail was perfectly placed. We also had a wedding day first – we got to take photos of Laura helping her mother into her dress just before her mother helped her into her dress. It was such a sweet moment!
Laura and Trip: Thank you so much for letting us share in your wedding day as your wedding photographers! We hope to never forget how inspired we were by your wedding ceremony and hearing the story of how you met. We can see how together you will inspire so many of the people you meet and change lives. We wish you all the best that marriage and life have to offer!
