SEVIERVILLE AND KNOXVILLE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – 2 HODGES PHOTOGRAPHY
We were excited to meet Caitlin as soon as she contacted us to be her Sevierville wedding photographer. Her enthusiasm for her marriage and the photography on her wedding day were contagious. Meeting her only made us more excited to be a part of her and Beau’s wedding story.
Caitlin and Beau were not high school sweethearts, but they did go to Sevier County High School together. Beau was serving as a civilian for a year in Afghanistan when a picture of Caitlin on a friend’s Facebook page caught his attention. So, Beau wrote to Caitlin. Although their romance started slowly through writing, by the time they were reunited at the airport, it seems their fate was sealed. Beau proposed soon after, and they began a whirlwind engagement.
We got to meet Beau when we took their engagement photos in the spring. Since he works in agriculture for the University of Kentucky, we had a country engagement session in Sevierville, including a tractor and cows. Beau’s love for Caitlin was extremely obvious as he complimented her (and her choice of wedding photographers) throughout the session.
Caitlin and Beau were married at First Baptist Church in Sevierville, TN, in late summer with their wedding reception in nearby Pigeon Forge at Music Road Convention Center. During a summer full of rainy wedding Saturdays, Caitlin and Beau were blessed with just a few sprinkles between the wedding and the reception. Probably the most memorable moment of their day was the garter toss. It could probably go into the Guiness Book of World Records for youngest bachelor to catch the garter.
Even though we were a part of the wedding day as photographers, we felt like we were treated as family throughout the day. To say we will miss Caitlin and Beau as they begin their lives in Kentucky is an understatement. We know all of their family and friends (which is a lot of people!) feel the same way.
To Caitlin and Beau: Best wishes in your marriage. We feel so blessed to have captured the emotions of your special day, and we hope these photos will always be a treasure to you. We wish you a lifetime of wonderful memories.
