Knoxville Wedding Photographer – 2 Hodges Photography
Our favorite thing about Knoxville engagement sessions is that it gives us an opportunity to really get to know our brides and grooms before their wedding day. With Emily and Derrick, we learned that they adapt and go with the flow quite well, such as when a festival makes taking photos in Knoxville’s Old City impossible. So, instead we headed up to Gay Street to shoot at Knoxville’s iconic Tennessee Theater. The day was also unseasonably cold, but Emily never once complained, and of course we enjoyed seeing Derrick try to keep her warm.
After shooting Downtown, we moved over to Ijams Nature Center where Emily and Derrick’s dog joined us. As soon as Ruby saw Emily, she nearly jumped out the window to try to get to her momma. It was so sweet! We always love sunset at Ijams, especially the peacefulness of being near the water at Mead’s Quarry.
The biggest thing we learned from Emily and Derrick’s engagement session is that the way Emily and Derek look at each other, especially with Emily’s incredible eyes, is a picture worth 1,000 words.
Emily and Derrick will have a winter wedding at The Standard, and we are so excited to be their Knoxville wedding photographers and work with wedding coordinator Janna Fowler with All About Weddings, too!
