Knoxville Wedding Photographer – 2 Hodges Photography
There is so much to say about Kristie and Brian’s Knoxville wedding at Pleasant Hill Vineyards in Maryville, TN. Despite their playful nature (which made the wedding a blast!) Kristie and Brian are classic. They chose a white and blue color scheme (just see her gorgeous bouquet by Lisa Foster Floral Design!), with Kristie in some epic white high heels and the guys smartly dressed in relaxed khaki pants, white shirts and blue ties. We know the guys appreciated a more relaxed, light-colored attire in mid-June! The day threatened rain, but thankfully this did not keep any of the guests away.
Kristie and Brian chose a First Look, and this is when we first found out just how much fun Kristie’s waist-length veil would be. There was a slight wind that caused her veil to playfully wrap around her face at just the “right” moments. Just as she was about to turn Brian around during their First Look, she had to fight off her veil. Because of this, Brian decided to stay put, and we weren’t sure he was ever going to turn around. When he finally did, their expressions were priceless. Then, during the ceremony, just as Kristie was putting Brian’s ring on his finger, her veil decided to whip around her face again. Her 11-year-old daughter, standing by her side as Maid of Honor, took the veil, and the rest of the ceremony went off without anymore interruptions.
The rain finally came just in time for family photos, giving Kristie and Brian a nice shower as they entered their reception, and then as quickly as the rain started, it stopped and the sun came out, followed by a rainbow. The reception had plenty of dancing with DJ Lee Umberger from Special Notes Entertainment keeping the dance floor moving. And the cake. Let’s just say there were too many cakes on the table – a wedding cake, a groom’s cake, and a birthday cake! Be sure to check out what happens if you sneak a birthday cake into Kristie’s wedding.
This post would not be complete without mentioning one of our favorite bouquet catches of all time. We’ll just have to let the photos speak for themselves, but Kandi was very excited to find out the girl is a clogger (so is she!)
We wrapped up the wedding day with sunset photos in the vineyard, creating a gorgeous ending to a whimsical yet classic wedding day.
