We were so excited to be chosen as Amanda and Corey’s Knoxville wedding photographer for their summer lake front wedding at Tellico Yacht Club in Lenoir City, TN. Their wedding was a romantic-style wedding using burlap and lace, and we loved the groomsmen’s suits, which were tan and perfect for an afternoon lakeside wedding.
The day was full of surprises and emotion. After a forecast of a 30 percent chance of rain, the weather provided something just short of a monsoon this late-July morning. Waves were crashing over the docks, and a break in the clouds was not in sight. Amanda was completely calm, her mind was on one thing: marrying Corey, who captured her heart as soon as she first saw him as a teenager. And then the rain stopped just in time for portraits with the groomsmen. Within the hour, the sun was shining and the rain became a memory.
We will always remember so many details from Amanda and Corey’s wedding day. Amanda’s excitement as she walked toward her groom, and Corey’s emotion as he saw his bride were indescribable, so we will have to let the photos tell that story. Their love of family felt like home to us. And the dancing at the reception, with Chase from Ogle Entertainment playing all the right songs, was unmatched by any wedding reception we’ve seen. And of course, their sparkler send off, with the tires of the baby blue Volkswagon Bug screeching as they raced off to their Cancun honeymoon, is definitely burned into our minds.
Without a doubt, Amanda and Corey’s marriage is a blessing in the lives of many, and we feel so blessed to have been a part of their special day. Thank you, Amanda and Corey! We wish you a lifetime of happy memories!
