Jennie and Jared’s unseasonably cool May wedding at the Knoxville Convention Center in downtown Knoxville, TN, has completely warmed our hearts. Even though the day was pretty much perfect, the real icing on the cake was that they just wanted to be married. And maybe capture a few memories to remember the day by through us as their Knoxville wedding photographer and wedding videographer Silverleaf Cinemas (who is amazing!) Between the touching moments and the spectacular details, Jennie and Jared’s wedding is definitely a day to remember.

The bride and bridesmaids started the day at the Holiday Inn Downtown for hair and make up. Jennie received a visit from the best man with a gift from Jared perfect for their west coast brewery tour honeymoon.

Jennie then did a first look with her dad. Watching him anticipate seeing his little girl – there’s not a word to describe it. Next, Jennie and Jared had a first look moment, allowing them to spend more of their wedding day together. And this is when we fell in love with wedding videography like never before. Capturing Jared and Jennie as they see each other for the first time is touching. Hearing what Jared was saying in the video – well, grab a tissue. You’ve been warned.

Jennie and Jared opted to move the wedding ceremony inside due to winds and possible rain. Jennie’s brother officiated his first wedding, and definitely the best part was when he directed anyone who may oppose this marriage to use one of the exits.

The reception was also incredible – and bright green! Melissa Timm with Melissa Timm Designs created gorgeous floral arrangements while Joey Tack with Music in Motion Mobile Entertainment provided the perfect apple green uplighting. Jennie and Jared also used a creative personal touch for seating guests – they used their “Tour of Knoxville Landmarks” engagement photos as table markers. After guests were seated, they were introduced to the wedding party through the most entertaining intros we have ever heard. The entire evening was a blast with dancing, more dancing, and glow sticks. Joey did a great job of keeping the party going until Jennie and Jared departed in a glow stick-waving send off. Oh, and speaking of icing on the cake, the wedding cake was provided by Sweet Beginnings by Elaine. The cake had a tour of Knoxville theme, and it was almond flavored. We are still savoring how delicious it was!

This May wedding day was full of emotions – laughter, tears, and everything in between. We hope you enjoy the photos!
